It's a Party!!!

To our dear family and friends~
The last two years for our family haven’t been the easiest to say the least. Without the family and circle of friends that we have, we wouldn’t be where we are today and we are eternally grateful to you for that! So, because of all of your thoughtfulness, we have decided to celebrate that with one heck of a party!! We would like to extend this invitation to all that have prayed for our family, helped out in any way with our boys, the house, our bills, etc. This is just a wonderful opportunity for us to meet you face to face to express our gratitude for everything that you have done for us. AND to meet the princess!!! It really is overwhelming on how many people prayed for us! Thanking God to this day for every one of you! We are so very blessed. So, if you are NOT SICK!!!! (remember, the princess’ immune system is still compromised) on June 12th, please come and join us for an Open House beginning at 3pm until the last person is standing! The party will take place at: Don and Sue Lumbard’s ~ 4992 West E Ave ~ Kalamazoo, MI 49009. There will be plenty of food and drink (adult beverages included!!!) along with cake to celebrate Lindsay’s 2nd Birthday!! We can’t explain to you how precious this birthday is to us and to her. We were very fortunate to have had her for her 1st, but completely blessed to have her for her 2nd. Miracle!~
So, to celebrate her birthday, we are excited to announce the launch of Love from Lindsay Baskets as a way to give back! These baskets will be handed out to heart babies after having their first open heart surgery at U of M. In conjunction with Hearts of Hope, we are making this possible. The baskets will include such items as receiving blankets, pacifiers and pacifier holders, warm socks, signature Lindsay bows for the little girls and adorable hats for the boys, stuffed toys, wrist rattles, and snap across (or down) onsies and shirts. There will also be more information included that explains Hearts of Hope and what an incredible organization it is for support and for hope for heart families! We established a registry as well at Babies R Us for these items and you are welcome to order from there and have them shipped. Babies R Us registry number is 45405192. If you would simply rather make a donation to help the cause, please make checks payable to: Love from Lindsay Baskets and send to Suzie at the above address. As parents of a child born with a porcelain heart, we appreciated anything that helped us feel better about her being in the hospital. Amazing as it sounds, these items helped us feel like Lindsay was “normal” . We want other parents to be able to experience that too even though the situation is not the best. We appreciate all of your help and can’t wait to see you there!!!
