Surgery Monday AM

Surgery is scheduled first case tomorrow morning. We're told that the surgical team will be preforming on two little ones with HLHS in two separate rooms. They won't come out to talk to us until both surgeries are completed.

From what I understand, Lindsay will have her chest kept open for a couple of days before they actually close it. This is to compensate for the swelling in a tiny chest. We'll be much more restricted in our visitation two by two.

It's late and I will get up early to be with Suzie and JR after they see her off to surgery and sign consent forms. Don's arriving early to be with them also.

I needed someone to talk to this evening, thanks for giving up your movie with your husband Elaine!

I wish everyone a Happy Father's Day knowing the true meaning of what a father is. I had one of the best, by the name of Mr. Lindsay. I miss him so and I know he'd know just what to say to comfort me through this. I do know that he'd be thrilled that Suzie and JR have chosen the name Lindsay for their precious daughter. Why didn't I think of that?

Heart Hugs and prayers for tomorrow,
Linda Lindsay Smith

Your family has been in my prayers constantly for the past 24 hours+. It's hard to believe it's been 10 months since we've been in your shoes - I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was praying last night that everyone (family & doctors) could get a good night sleep last night and that God would give all your family peace today as you sit and wait for your precious baby Lindsay to get out of the surgery.

Heart Hugs,

Julie, Dan & Ethan Miles

I'm so thankful for you Suzie & JR. I know we don't get to see you often enough, but please know that my entire family (parents & siblings) are with you. We are all praying for you and thankful for the outcome of Lindsay's first surgery. Remember, the LORD doesn't give us more then we can handle, he is just preparing us for our future. Be strong and know we are all here with you. I can't wait to see all of you!

Hi Linda,

Is there an address I can send something to Suzie and JR while they are in Ann Arbor?

Thanks
