Lindsay has been quarantined....

The princess has been quarantined to her new living space. Sound familiar Aunt Carole and Uncle Robb?? Yes, we have been placed into a room with another baby that has the same immunity to the antibiotic that she was on to fight her urinary tract infection and her infection in her PICC line....Vancomycin. Anyway, I guess since this medicine is not working, she has to be quarantined because she could be contagious and certainly don't want to infect the other babies in the unit with whatever she has. It is certainly a precautionary measure, but still. The nurses and doctors now have to be gloved and gowned before entering her room. It is actually all pretty creepy, but we have to do what we have to do. She has had a better day than yesterday. She was throwing up and so they switched out her NG feeding tube to a NJ feeding tube. A shorter explanation is that they moved the tube lower into her body so there would be less of an opportunity to spit it up. So far so good with that. She has been gagging on phlegm all day but it has gotten better throughout the evening. Doctors also put her back on her Milrinone drip to see if that makes a difference with her as far as being comfortable. They were thinking she might have low cardiac output which might be why she is not acting like our baby the last few days. She has just looked like she didn't feel very well. She was comfortable when we left tonight. Long day once again and looking forward to coming home for the evening on Friday. Talk soon!

I can relate! Evie was quarantined for several days when they thought she had pertussis. As if a hospital stay isnt scary enough for a baby, add a bunch of doctors and nurses in caps and gowns and masks. Praying they can handle her like a baby and not "ET" soon:-) Poor little girl! She is looking beautiful. Love the recent pic in her pink hat! Thanks too for the note Suzie...so glad the pkg arrived and hope she's home to enjoy it soon!
Love to Lindsay from Evie and her momma

So sorry to hear that the Princess is less than great. It's just not fair that you have to see your baby not comfortable. Hopefully the doctors are doing all they can to figure out what's wrong and fixing it. We will continue to pray for all of you.

Love,
Dan,Maggie,Ben,& Alli

Aunt Carole and Uncle Robb are watching you, Lindsay, like the anxious great-relatives we are! Hearts and prayers are with you all. I certainly hope your experience is as short-lived as ours was. Take care/AuntC

I'm so sorry you guys have another thing to deal with! Maybe a different room and surrondings will help her kick this stinky infection. She doesn't deserve anything else. She's so precious.
Oh,,,I'm so excited today!!We have Cruzie here, yea. He is playing and walking so well,a little limp, but he's happy as can be. He was all done w/me as soon as papa Don came home early from work though. He hasn't seen him for so long, he (both)was all over him.
Good luck and prayers as always,
Don and Brenda

Suzie, I have left a comment recently, but wanted to let you know I'm still praying for Lindsay. I hope she gets over this soon. I'm sure she's just as ready to go home as you are to have her go home. I hope she gets over this infection soon. Love you all.
