Mommy needed a break.....to get some work done! :-)

Ok, stalkers, I was gone one night!!! ha ha Yes, I went home for the night and then went into the office this morning to get some things done so that this week I don't have to worry about work and be able to hold and feed Lindsay as much as I want. As of tomorrow, I think our princess is moving to moderate care!!!!! JR stayed here to have one on one with Lindsay while I went back. I stayed at Mom and Bill's. Bill had gotten the hotub running so I sat in that for a little while. Wow, did that ever feel good. And then to top it off, Bill had breakfast ready for Mom and I when we got up. Now, how is that for service! Thanks Bill! And thanks Mom, for all of your help today in the office.

Lindsay has had a remarkable day. She got her chest tube out, went down on her sedation drips and starting oral meds like captopril and lasix, and they even removed the nasal cannula! She is so much more like our Lindsay and I can't wait to go back up tonight to give her a bath and then hold her and rock her to sleep. I even changed a poopy diaper when I got here. Yup, systems are all working! What we get excited about these days here at the hospital. :-)

I'm off to see her and will post more pictures tomorrow for you, probably after our trip down the hall! Love to you all!

Suzie
PS....We got to see our boys on Friday! It had been 3 weeks since JR had seen Cruz! It was so nice to them. Hopefully we will be a family again by next weekend.

We were so glad to see pictures of the Princess! I realize that you made a VERY tough decision for your baby girl, I can't imagine what that was like for the two of you! Continue to be there for each other, Lindsay can feel the love between you two!

I'm so glad that you were able to get some much needed "mommy time". I hope JR takes some time for himself as well. It was wonderful to see pictures of the boys with you. I can't imagine having to be apart for so long. We'll be praying for Lindsay to continue her awesome recovery so that your family can be together soon!

I am so relieved, everyone looks so happy. I am glad the boys were able to visit. I know it must be hard to be away from them for so long. I don't know how you do it. You and your family have pulled together to make things work. Lindsay looks so strong and beautiful. We can't wait to see you all home, soon. Take care and remember we are always praying and thinking of you.

Suzie and JR, the two of you look so wonderful with the Princess and your boys! Thanks for sharing the great pictures and the great news. Isn't it amazing how excited we can get over pee and poop!
Seriously, we have no idea what it actually is like to be in your shoes right now, because it is so heart-rending for us to be on the outside looking in. In addition to the prayers for dear Lindsay, we send an equal amount for the two of you. To have found in each other such a strong soulmate must be such a blessing.

Please let us know what else those of us who live outside the area can do for you. Do you need any further contributions to the RMH to be put as credits on your account? (I'm sure we're not the only ones who have wondered this and have hesitated to contact you to ask!) Please let us know!

Love and prayers,
Debbie and Rick

It was so nice to get on the blog and see smiling faces holding that sweet baby girl! In your arms is where she should be. Thanks for all the updates for those of us who are genuinely concerned for that little baby princess!!! Okay... call us stalkers, but remember all of our thoughts and prayers are working!!
take care,
