She is resting......

Lindsay is finally sedated and resting like the docs want her to. Basically, we just have to wait it out and hope that she gets rid of the infection, pees well, and stays comfortable. She looks fine. Her color came back and looks like Lindsay again. Her heart rate finally came down a bit too. Did I tell everyone that her heart rate was around 200 before she was intibated? Yes, she was basically running a marathon for most of the day just lying there. Her fever has not returned and blood tests say that she is coming back into normal rages again. Still no word on if the blood from the cultures has grown any bacteria yet, but I'm sure it will. She was so sick and obviously still recovering from it. The echo looks fine as long as she stays comfortable and lets her body work. The x-ray also looked good. No fluid on the lungs and her bowels had some air but is better than from before. They have a tube down to help remove any that is in there now.
We are off to spend the evening with the boys. JR and I are going to see Lindsay this morning and then off we go. Picking Cole up from school, I'm going to work a little, JR will mow the lawn(with Cole's help I'm sure!), pick up Cruz from Brenda's and then Trick or Treating here we come! We are looking forward to a night devoted to them. I will update in a few days and with pictures from the big night tonight! Love to you all!

So good to hear that Lindsay is alittle more comfortable. I thought of her several times yesterday and said a prayer when she crossed my mind! Hope you guys have a good time tonight and are able to relax a bit. Praying for the old happy Lindsay back in no time!

I think of you often and I will continue to pray that Lindsay can fight this infection. I am so sorry that you have to split time and I know how difficult it is. I wish I could give you a hug just to say that I understand and Lindsay is a hero!

I am so glad Lindsay is doing better and is stable enough for you to come home to take the boys trick or treating...that is exactly what I was praying for...I did NOT want you to have to give up your special time with the boys. They have been so good and so brave all this time...they deserved this night!! And remember: I need a special photo of Spongebob... :)

On a personal note: would you believe Avery showed up at our front door dressed as a cowboy??? I am the happiest grandma in the universe! We were so suprised we were speechless and I was crying! I love my daughter and her husband...it was all his idea and I never saw it coming! (I mean all the way from Chicago....)

We love you all,

Elaine, Bill, Cara, Warren and Avery the Cowboy

Those infections are so scary with our little ones. I remember when my daughter had one and of course it was from a line infection. Its like a catch twenty-two, you need to have the lines right now, but the longer they are in the more problems they pose. I check on you all regularly from up here in chilly Alaska. Your daughter is adorable. I'm a little partial to the big eyes as my daughter has big eyes too. May the peace of God rest in your hearts.

Hi Suzie and JR. We have kept praying and will keep praying. As you may have heard, our son was born Tuesday night at Borgess (the 28th) Dr. Winter did the c-section, we were able to thank him for helping you guys out and he was great to work with.
