9 hours until extubation??

Lindsay has been rockin and rollin with her sprints and the nitric is OFF!!! Pulmonary pressures are still a little higher but knowing that she can tolerate the sildenifil, those should go down without a problem. Two IV lines have been removed and tomorrow her cardiac lines will be removed before she is extubated. Extubation means that we are able to hold her tomorrow!!!!! We just can't begin to tell you how wonderful she looks. Please keep praying that things continue on the right track. Maybe by the end of this week, we will be on the floor! We do know though that we are here for at least another week and a half because we can't leave until she has her two week biopsy to make sure that she is not in rejection. So, also include in your prayers that she tolerates all of her anti-rejection meds and the test results come back negative! All for now. Tomorrow I hope to post a picture of the princess awake and without her breathing tube. Love to you all!
Suzie

That is great news! I was checking for updates earlier when Owen and his friend Sage came in. Owen told her "that baby Lindsay she had a broken heart but now she got a new one so now she can go home with her mommy and daddy" So cute and will be true before you know it! We're hoping and praying for an uneventful recovery.

Love,
Amanda

Not only are we thrilled for Lindsay; we'll never quit praying for her...but it also gives our family so much hope for Owen...those perfect hearts DO exist and God will get them to our sick babies when they are ready on God's time frame. You sharing your story on this blog gives many families hope & with each child's gift we learn more and more and we will have fewer Angel babies! I hope you and my daughter, Andrea meet some day! Lindsay and Owen can swap stories:) :) :)have fun holding her tomorrow! Owen's Gramma Vicki

We are so glad to hear that Lindsay is continuing to stay strong. We can't wait until she is able to go home. Hope all is well at the Rondald McDonald House. I watered your plant today. I hope you don't mind. Lindsay is such a brave little girl. She is such an inspiration.

Suzie and Jr., I can't imagine the excitement and anxiousness you must be feeling just to hold your baby girl again. It seems ,atleast from this end, that this is the heart she was waiting for! Grace is just sitting on pins and needles to be able to see the princess in person instead of on a 15" screen. Gee, you guys are going to have to take numbers for visitors after you get home. You'll be the house with people outside saying "open, open" hee hee!
wonderful updates,thank you!
hope you're catching up on some much needed rest!

Oh, the goosebumps I'm getting! She is just very determined to get home soon, isn't she? And I couldn't be happier about being up there TO SEE YOU OFF!!! (Even better than being there when you get "the call.") We want to see how good you say she looks, so be sure to post new pictures! Enjoy holding your precious babe!

Suzie....I am just now being able to catch up from Fridays post due to no computer at home. I don't think I even have the words to tell you how happy and relieved I am feeling today to read all of your updates. I knew she could do it. You have one AMAZING little princess!

I am so in tears and my people at work just look at me like "what is wrong with Rachel"...They are tears of joy! I love our GOD!!! He is the best!

I cant wait to see pictures of Lindsay with no tube in her mouth to breathe. What an amazing site that will be and I am so excited for you to be able to hold her for the first time with her new WHOLE heart!!!

Love and Prayers Forever,

Rachel
