All is good!

Cole did wonderful today and was back to himself by dinner! He slept most of the day from being knocked out for a while not to mention from the Tylenol with Codeine too! He hasn't taken it since we left the hospital so he is not in any pain. I asked and he said his ears hurt a little but not enough for medicine.

It is now officially Cruz's birthday today. I cannot believe my little boy is two! Makes me sad but can't wait to see what he does or says from day to day. He will be our adventure for sure!

My mom stayed here today with Lindsay and Cruz while we were at the hospital with Cole so she had some "Grandma" time before she left for Georgia. Hope your doing ok on your own Bill!

Lindsay had another great day. She has started a routine of falling asleep at about 11pm and gets up around 7 or 8 am to eat, get meds, and then back to sleep for another hour or so. BEAUTIFUL!!! Works great so that I can take a shower and get the boys fed and dressed for the day.

Keep the prayers coming because the hemi-Fontan will take place before we know it!

The Simmons Family said...: I'm glad to hear tha Cole is doing better! I cannot get over the pictures and how big Lindsay is...she is changing and growing so big!!! I bet the boys just love on her like crazy!!!

Katie said...: Glad all went well with Cole's surgery. You've had a lot on your plate!!! So happy to hear about Lindsay's great sleeping...wow, I bet you feel so rejuvenated! Nice for your mom to have a "Lindsay fix" as well...my mom loves those times she gets with Maddie and the boys as well :) Don't you just love Grandmas?

Heart Poem

It's a beautiful day up in heaven. Jesus is rounding up his tiniest angels, to go live on earth, and be born. One of the sweetest angels says to Jesus "I don't want to leave, I like it here, and I will miss you". He reassures the scared little angel that everything will be okay, and that he is just going for a visit. He is still not swayed on this idea. So Jesus kneels down, and says, "How about if you leave half of your heart here with me and take the other half with you, will that be okay?" The angel smiles and says, "I guess that will work". But the little angel is still a little scared. He asks,"Will I be okay with only half of my heart?" Jesus replies,"Of course you will, I have other angels there that will help out, and you will be fine." Then Jesus gives the angel more details about his plan. He says "When you are born, your mommy will be scared, so you have to be strong, and when you feel weak just remember that I have the other half of your heart". "Enjoy your time with your family, play and laugh everyday." "And when its time to come back to heaven, I will make your heart whole again. Always remember that you are not broken, just torn between two loves."
