Hemi-Fontan: A Reality

Well everyone.....here we go! Got a phone call today from U of M and we have a schedule for next week!!! We go for her "work-up" on the 24th, Heart cath on the 25th, and most likely surgery on the 26th. I swallowed pretty hard when I got that phone call but, I would rather have it sooner than later. This just means that she is doing so well with her weight gain that she needs to be fixed earlier. We get our packet from U of M probably on Wednesday and I will have more detailed information to pass along.
Heart Hugs!

I am glad you got scheduled. The younger they are... the easier (is that possible) it is!

Suzie,
I had just found your blog a few days before Lindsay was born and fervently prayed through her Glenn. We will certainly be following and doing the same for this next big week. I know how "full" your mother-heart is as you dread and anticipate at the same time. This will be a big hurdle behind you! You are linked to our blog so our praying friends and family will be lifting little missy too!
Blessings

How exciting and scary for you all at the same time. Our family thinks of you often and Lindsay continues to be in our daily prayers. As always, thanks for keeping us posted.

Wow! What a grand mix of emotions, huh? You know this day would come and prayed for it to...but there's nothing like handing your baby girl over for heart surgery. Oh, Suzie, I will pray specifically for your heart and mind as you prepare for next week. You know Lindsay is an incredibly tough little girl and is in wonderful hands...most of all, God will be holding her just as He does every day. She is His and He will take care of her. We love those chubby cheeks and look forward to seeing them on the other side of surgery! (She'll probably come out smiling!)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" Phil. 4:6-7
Love to you~ Rebecca

I know that "lump in the throat" feeling all too well. She'll do wonderful...and just keep in mind that she HAS to have this. I had to remind myself of that often with Maddie approaching her Glenn. Enjoy your time together as a family before her big day. I'll be keeping you in my prayers and sending special thoughts your way! Take care!
Love,
Katie & Maddie
