Update on the princess

My last phone call was at 11:25pm and Lindsay had just had another episode of her heart rate going down into the 80's. She had also had another at 10:50 pm and they immediately drew another blood gas and her potassium was 2.4. Man, what is it going to take to get this potassium under control?! And wow, does she make it a point that she doesn't like us to leave!! Same things as happened the weekend before so we are wondering if it has anything to do with a fever, the fever breaking, and then she has these spells. It is as if her body gets regulated and working correctly again and then the potassium goes nuts because she then pees too much? I think I might get the on-call doctor on the phone tonight..................They also let me know that POD A is on call so we shall she if they decide to move her. I'm not thinking that that will be the case since we are during the week now. Last time was on a Friday night and POD A was the better decision because of staffing.
I will keep you all posted.
Love, Suzie

Up at an ungodly hour finishing wrapping and thought Id check in on Lindsay to keep the late night prayer vigil going for the princess....reading the last two posts together...bless your heart Suzie. I know its hard to be fully engaged where you are with Lindsay miles away. How EXHAUSTED I can only imagine you must be my friend! The cycle and emotional roller coaster of ups and downs really wears on you after a while. (Seriously, I found my first gray hair the other day)
Wish the time at home could be restful and care-free. Dont look to far out. Praying grace for you for one day at a time. Praying always as a family for precious, beautiful, miracle Lindsay!!

Oh Susie.....You just go right ahead and let it all out sister!!!!! Lindsay needs your voice. They don't call it a mother's intuition for nothing. You know what is best. I am so happy that you are home for Christmas with the boys. On the other hand, I cannot imagine your emotions as you had to leave AA (coming from East Lansing I can't even say the words so that is why I used the initials:) I am eternally grateful for what that place has done for our princess though!!!!
You keep your spirits up and enjoy the moments this season. Lindsay will be just fine. She is in the best of care! See you this afternoon!!!!
Love ya!
Alison

Suzie,
I will make sure you are in my prayers even more today as this must be such a hard time for you. Just remember Lindsay is in great hands between our wonderful God and her doctors and nurses!
God Bless you all....
