Happy Camper!

Well, we might actually be camping next year at this time but for now, let's just use this saying. Lindsay has had a great day today and yesterday was just as great. She has been sitting up for a little while on her own these last couple of days and we have been getting LOTS of smiles. Her focusing is continuing to improve everyday and we even had her sitting in her bumbo chair as well. She has been doing great with switching her meds for IV to oral and today was the first day on oral Lasix and has been peeing like a champ! This was the one that we worried about and so far so good with the switch and the dose! Tomorrow with probably be the day of decisions around here. They have an upper GI scheduled for in the morning so that they can make their decision and then hash it out with us and the cardiologists. That could be interesting. I will update after we come to a conclusion tomorrow. Otherwise, we are getting there and hopefully by the end of next week, as I mentioned before, we can blow this pop-stand! I'm already getting emotional...............
We had a great visit with mom and Bill yesterday and watched fireworks on tv after they left. The boys are still up in Traverse City camping with my dad and Sue and having a blast. They have been fishing, making smores, hitting a carnival in town, and simply playing in the dirt as little boys do. So cute. I'm sure they will have stories for us when we see them next. ;-)
All for now....
Suzie

If you ever write a book about Lindsay you should entitle it---
"The Princess of Miracles".She always seems to have one more little miracle up her sleeve when she needs it. We hope you are on your way HOME soon!! Thanks for letting us share in your story.

Hello! My name is Jamie Bird and I run MiniMe BabyGear. Long story short- someone nominated you over at TheMeanestMom.blogspot.com as a mom that could use an extra pick me up and you were selected and your name was given to me. In Jana's words "The purpose of this project is simply to let special moms know that there are many in this world who love them, are praying for them, and recognize their courage, valor, and perseverance in the face of enormous difficulty." I think that says it best, so I won't even try to put my own spin on it:-)

I would love to send you a few things for your daughter. I am not sure if it would be possible, but I would love to know her size so that I could make sure to send the right one. I picked out the "Princess" rufflebutt onesie (seems very fitting now that I read the blog!), a pair of pink shoes, a little fluffy blanket, and a few other things that would brighten your day.

What do you owe me? Absolutely nothing. I will take care of shipping, sending it, etc. All I need is an address to send it to, and (if you do not mind) a correct size for the onesie.

Please contact me at info@minimebabygear.com. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either myself or Jana at The Meanest Mom Blog.

Thanks! Jamie Bird

We continue to pray for more recovery and share in your hope for a impending discharge date! It's about time the Princess should get to enjoy just being a normal one year old... after all, she has birthday presents awaiting her... they need played with!

Hello guys, Sorry I have fallen behind in reading. I miss you all so much and it made me cry to read how well our little princess is doing. I need another pray for Lindsay bracelet if you have one. Mine is with Ethin. I just wanted him to have a part of his Heart sister too. I hope you do not mind. That was the first I had taken it off since you gave it to me. He also has Tommy's too. I am planning to come down either tomorrow or Tuesday I would love to see you guys. Maybe even peek through the window at Lindsay if that is OK?! I love you guys, Jessica

Well, if that picture doesn't make someone smile when they open this blog, I don't know what will! She is my new hero (aside from Inge, of course!) To think that after all she's been through in the last few weeks, you're once again talking about being able to take her home. She is just amazing. Praying for good results from the upper GI today and that whatever decision is made gives you all peace and brings you one step closer to home.

Lots of love,
The Gillespies
