- Lindsay Dean
- Lindsay Dean, daughter of JR and Suzie Dean, was born at University of Michigan's C.S Mott Children's Hospital, June 11, 2008 with a Congenital Heart Defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, or HLHS. The short explanation is that Lindsay was born with only half of a heart. In order for her to live, a series of three operations were planned and possibly down the road, a heart transplant. Thus far, Lindsay has endured a total of 5 open heart surgeries and because of her poor heart function, Lindsay was put on the transplant list in November 2008. Well, much to our surprise, it finally happened! Lindsay has a whole heart and June 5, 2009 will forever be a date to remember! Lindsay is one of three children in the Dean family, brothers Cole and Cruz. Please feel free to follow Lindsay's journey as it unfolds.
