Lindsay's out of surgery and stable

Sorry for the delay. I didn't have signal in the waiting room, so I couldn't get online. Don, Sue, and I stayed right with Suzie and JR and we didn't want to leave the room. We got updates every hour with the last one being scary. Lindsay had a hard time getting off the heart lung machine and she was also bleeding. The Dr. stayed right with her until the immediate danger was gone. We were informed that the next 24 to 48 hours will be critical.

We all were able to go in to see her in ICU and we were pleased how she looked. She's not too bloated and is eliminating fluid as they want her too.

Lindsay's chest cavity is completely open with clear tape over it. Suzie choose not to show that picture. God has truly blessed our family today. We thank you all for your continued prayers.

Thanks for the update, Linda. I've been checking every five minutes or so all morning and afternoon (because of the time difference).

Lindsay looks so good for just coming out of surgery! I'm glad to hear that the fluids are being eliminated like the staff wants! Still praying hard for her and you all these next few days as I know they are the most critical! Thanks for the update, I was checking in nearly hourly to see if there was any news yet but know how it can go with getting internet access in the hospital! LOL

As parents who've been in your shoes, please let us know if there's anything we can do. We're here to talk/listen if you need it.

Heart Hugs,

Julie, Dan & Ethan Miles

Ah, Linda...you had a short night and a long day! :) Old friends are the BEST...your phone call was a gift: even if you made the call for yourself, it really helped me.

I prayed all day and am so relieved Lindsay came through the surgery well. Leave it to her to still look absolutely beautiful even after heart surgery! Just keep holding onto each other and loving each other as you wait this out. You all are exactly where you are supposed to be and God and Angel Annabelle are watching over all of you with love, I just know it.

We love you all so much and will keep on praying as long as you need us. Rebecca called this "Miracle Day"...I think that's perfect!

Love, Elaine

I'm so happy everything went well. We have all been a nervous wreck. I'm sure it doesn't compare to what you and your family are going through, but stay strong for lindsay. She has so much support even though we can't be there. This site is so amazing and I am thankful we can keep in touch and stay informed. Tina keeps us as informed as much possible, but it is so nice to be able to see pictures. We are all thinking and praying for you. Love~Sarah, Charlie, Natalie, and Nathan
