One word says it all.....

MIRACLE! Miracles do happen!...again. Lindsay was proof of that today with all of you wonderful people on her side and of course the mighty power of GOD. He did it again! Our lives were crushed yesterday with the news and this morning was grim. Well, I will just say it was awful for us. The unknown is a horrible feeling especially when it concerns your baby and it is totally out of your control. She is the strongest person that we know and are still amazed on what her tiny body has been through in just this last week.

Details of the surgery were wonderfully explained by Elaine. Dr. Devaney was very pleased and pleasantly surprised with the increase in her oxygen saturation after the operation. He put in a different shunt called the central shunt. I still have yet to look that up. :-) He even said that her heart function looks like it actually improved immediately! The operation was a success and she should be good to go for another 2-4 months before they decide on doing the Hemi again. He was so confident in the success that he went ahead and closed her chest! She will undergo a few heart caths before the Hemi to determine if she can withstand it. If then they decide that she wouldn't be able to tolerate the surgery because of the increase in pulmonary blood flow, they would put her on the transplant list. I want to thank you all, once again, for the continued support and prayers sent our way for Lindsay and our family. We feel the power of your prayers and they give us the strength to make it through this amazing hurdle in our lives. We are so humbled by the support from all over the country and trust me when I say, we feel the love! We are exhausted beyond belief, so we are going to take a short nap and then off to see our princess. Speaking of Princess.....the nurses think that as well. Just check out the photo above with her crown on. We took this one last night and the other is of Lindsay after surgery today. The nurses decided to make Lindsay a crown because of the rank in royalty that she is prooving that she is. :-)

Until tomorrow......

A very thankful,

Suzie and Jr

PRAISE GOD...OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!

At the risk of repeating myself, (I said this in a previous post!!)be sure to check the comments after Suzie's most recent post, especially if it has been a long wait for news and you are starting to panic. Sometimes, the family calls one of us...Tina earlier this week, me today...and asks us to post so you won't worry. Since we don't have any way to access the regular part of the blog, we can only post in the comment section. So...if you are worrying, as we all were today...check there!!

Love and heart hugs, Elaine

Sitting here at work with tears running down my face. Lindsay has proven time and time again just how strong she is. And I'm not surprised, look at how strong her parents are! You have been in my thoughts all day. And a big thank you to Elaine for posting the update earlier today - I was so relieved when I read that.

Keep fighting, Lindsay!

Dear Suzie, Jr and Lindsay,

That is a great idea to check the other peoples post to get updates that if you don't have a stupid computer like I have at work the you CAN'T post or check any comments. I was about to have a nervous breakdown by the end of the day when I had not seen anything. I am so glad she is doing so well and she does look great in the pictures. Can't wait to see those eyes open again.

Love you all so much and hopefully you can rest a little easier tonight.

Love Always,

Steve and Tina

Suzie and JR.,
The next time you talk to/see Cole... ask him to sing the new song they learned at school this week... "My God is so BIG, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do!!" ...the boys sang this to me the other day and then sang the fight song! We love you... Kiss Lindsay for us!

Suzie,
I went to bed with such a heavy heart last night. When I spoke with my mother on the phone last night I told her that I felt we needed to pray for a miracle. How amazing is Lindsay? And how awesome is God doing his handy work? I'm so glad you have the strength to endure. Blessings to all of you. You are a family of amazing people.

P.S. - I'm pretty sure the note from the NICU nurses in Grand Rapids came from my cousin and her team. You are loved by so many!

Lindsay is sure a fighter! She has some maize and blue in her blood! Look at it this way...she has more victories than Michigan does this year and I know she will have many more! Maybe the team should take some lessons and learn what a real fighter is like?? My prayers came through so far and they will keep coming more and more. I am always thinking of you Lindsay and the thoughts that your Doctors will do their very best to get you smiling again. I know cousins Braeden and Camden can't wait to play with little Lindsay...

Hey Steph....Cole was singing the fight song in the car when I picked him up from the airport last week and I asked him how he learned the words and he said...from Bob!! lol! GO Blue!

Of course she should have PRINCESS status, after everything that she has been through. Maybe even QUEEN!
