Pray for the Princess

Lindsay now has this horrible infection throughout her whole body. She has been re-intibated and back on most of all of her drugs as if she were just out of surgery. They had to pack her in ice last night because if the 102 fever that she spiked. I called this morning and the nurse said that her fever broke and they had put her catheter back in too. She is on a higher dose of morphine as well to try and keep her comfortable so that she can just rest and get through this infection. We left last night, or I should say this morning, at 4am. The doctors and nurses were trying to re-insert an Arterial line but failed because of too much scar tissue. They were able to do a venus line which will help with meds and fluids. They are culturing her blood out of both the PICC line and the new line to see if that PICC line has to go and possibly to find out where this infection is coming from. That is my vote. Ever since we got that line, things have gone downhill. Please pray that the doctors come up with a solution for the princess and that she recovers from this soon and back to her self in no time. They are also going to do a full echo and x-ray yet today, so I will keep you posted.

Oh, Suzie and JR...

My heart just breaks for you...she was doing so well yesterday and that smile on her face in the photo just looked like "Hi, Mommy...I'm back!"

Have they changed to a stronger antibotic...I can't remember? I can hardly believe Lindsay is intubated and medicated again...you must be so worried and down. I wish we were all there to put our arms around you...please know how very much we love you.

So...Prayer Warriors: let's pray all day for our Princess to fight off this infection and for the doctors to figure out what the next step is, to do it, and that it succeeds.

Suzie and JR...just when we think we couldn't love you more...we do. We are with you every step of the way,

Love, Elaine and Bill

Suzie,
So sorry Lindsay is having more set-backs. The last pictures you posted, she had such a promising look in her eyes. Our thoughts continue to be with you, we pray Lindsay can fight off this infection like everything else. As my grandma would say, "Bless her little heart."

Wow!! I can't believe she has something more to deal with, as well as you both. She doesn't deserve this setback again. We are praying for you all, and hope the Dr.'s find a way out of this new mess, as I'm sure they will, just keep up the hopes.
love to you all

We are praying for you guys from around the corner. Connor wants his heart sister doing better! We have been following you posts, but we haven't snuck across the pod to visit because of the quarentine...

I am confident that Lindsay will pull through this soon. She has been quite a fighter already, and even though it is rotten to catch an infection at the hospital, at least you have top notch doctors who will get to the bottom of this and get it taken care of.

If there is anything we can do (grab you food, do your chores at the house, etc.) just let us know. Flag your arms from Lindsay's bedside, we can see you from Connor's bed!

I ran across this quote not that long ago. every time I read an update that is not so great news I am reminded of this quote and I guess i would just like to pass it on to you. because I believe that with Gods help, she'll once agin get through this and have that precious smile on her face once again.

"The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

our thoughts are with her always!

Hospitals are such a catch 22 sometimes--she has to be there but they are such a breeding ground for the baddest of bacteria. I hope she continues to respond to the antibiotics--if the vancomycin doesn't get it by itself there are others that they can add in to help.

We're all praying for you guys. She's like the little engine coming up that last big hill and we know she can do it!!!

Suzie & JR, You are in our Thoughts and Prayers. Princess Lindsay is in the Best of Hands where she is, so just put your Faith in that fact. And of course she is in the best of hands our Father above! "He never gives us more than we can handle", sometimes I question that, but that's when I turn to Prayer and it sees me through the roughest of times! Hang in there - we are all here for you! Dear Suzie, and Jr,

I just knew something wasn't right today. I can't explain it but I just had a feeling. Your mom e-mailed me earlier about them intubating her again. I am just so sad, but I am confident that she will stay strong and be better before we know it.

Keep the faith, I am sure things will get better soon!!!

We love you all with all of our heart.

Love,
Steve and Tina
