Today......

Today we came into her room with not exceptional news but at least a plan of attack. The doctors did an echo this morning and found that she has increased pulmonary pressure and is creating what they call pop offs. This means that because of the increase in pressure from the hemi-fontan procedure, extra blood is traveling into veins that go directly to the heart instead of to the lungs. The good news is that they have a solution, hopefully, and Lindsay is starting to get some pedialite to get something in her belly to tolerate her Viagra. Yes, that's right, Viagra! This will help the pulmonary volume and the hope is that this improves her pressure and that we can get closer to removing her vent. It will be a few days before we know the effect of the Viagra so we are assuming not much will change until then. Keep praying for our princess. She really needs them now! Very fragile indeed.
Please add our son, Cruz, to your prayer list. He is having a cat scan done at 3pm this afternoon to take a closer look at his very inflamed neck due to the mono that he has. Lord help us! The testing has begun again I think. Have I mentioned that I'm loosing my hair?!!! Wonder why.....
More updates tonight~

Praying for your whole family with all you have going on right now. My mom's had chronic mono for nearly a year and a half (not to scare/discourage you - I hear kids get over it quicker!) so I know a little about how Cruz must be feeling. You certainly don't need any more medical issues to deal with on top of Lindsay trying to get healed.

Heart Hugs,
Julie

Lordy...you can tell we are all at a loss because everyone says some version of "Oh my goodness"!! Who could think this stuff up...you should be writing a book! Poor Cruz...he must be sooo miserable. I hope the scan turns up NOTHING and that it is just taking him awhile to get better. We send him hugs and kisses.

As to the hair...at least you are not losing your MIND...there are wigs for the hair. As to the viagra...if it's working for Owen it may work for the princess!! We will all pray for success...imagine all the viagra jokes that are rolling around in our heads...I am keeping mine to myself...after this is a "family site"!!!

Love always, Elaine

Oh...the new pictures are awesome!

Seriously!?! I'm glad that Lindsay is hanging in there. Poor little Cruz. I'm at a loss for words--which doesn't happen much. :) You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God is really pushing up the bar on not giving you more than you can handle--He must know that you guys are extra strong.

Hang in there.
Love,
Amanda

We are praying for you constantly and persistantly! Know that we are lifting you up... maybe God is telling you to cut your hair shorter?? Cole was great at school today, he said "Was that you that took me to Disney?" I know he was teasing because he tried to tell me he didn't have fun, then later told me he did. I have missed him! We will pray for healing! Love you guys!
