It's me.....finally.

A photo for Rebecca Butcher!
And, as promised, for Danielle Holtzman! "The" bow! This is the first time that she has ever had it on because we were saving it for this special day!
Yes, I was holding the princess and smiling!!! Well, needless to say, I am still shaking, crying, and smiling all at the same time.......and a killer headache to boot. But........who cares about a headache!!!!!!!!!! LINDSAY IS GETTING HER HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has just been crazy the last few hours and when I say that, I mean a GREAT crazy! JR got the phone call today from Dr. G and then of course called me afterwards. I was at work getting my toes done!!! I cried like a baby and started making phone calls to try and quickly make plans. I had only been in town about 45 minutes! A little while later, I spoke with Dr. G and he is the match is just perfect! That's right, he said perfect!!!!!!!! There should be no concerns about antibodies at all!!! (I'm knocking on wood as I type that!) GOD IS SO GOOD!! Ethan, you are an incredible little boy and I just know you had a hand in this!!!!!!
Lindsay's surgeon, Dr. Devaney, is on vacation so Dr. Ohye will be doing the transplant. He does most of them here at U of M and he did Tommy's yesterday too! I will be posting as we get updates through the wee hours of the morning and looks like, if things go as planned, Lindsay will be up in the ICU around 7am. So, hold on to your seats. It's going to be a LONG night!!!!
Please pray for the the donor family tonight. They have given us the greatest gift ever!
PRAY PRAY PRAY
Love a very grateful mommy and daddy,
Suzie and JR

I have been following your blog for a while and I met you and Lindsay in Mod. Care in Nov. You have been in my heart ever since!
That was so sweet that Tommy wanted to see Lindsay before his transplant. Now they can be roomies in the ICU!!!

Amazing when someone is in their deepest sorrow they willingly are giving life from their precious child for your sweet princess. My humblest prayers of gratitude and comfort go to them and all their loved ones and my deepest prayers for a smooth, safe transfer of organs and healing for Lindsay are being said for all of you. The new photos, especially the one of Lindsay in the basket, are perfect!!! May she quickly heal and see Tommy!!! God bless you all!

We are friends of the Schomaker family and we continue to praise God for all that He has provided for Tommy and now that a heart has been made available for Lindsay. We want you to know we will be praying for you little girl...she is a cutie pie. May God guide Dr. Ohye and his entire team as they perform the transplant. If there is anyone that will relate to your emotions, it will be Colleen and knowing her, I'm sure she's being a wonderful support and ministering to you as needed.

Sending lots of prayers,

I'm watching the clock, thinking what must be going on up there right now. I remember all those emotions when we left Zachary with the surgical team...ugh, gratefulness and anxiety all in one.

Alex was so excited for Lindsay tonight, and all the boys were asking questions about why she needed a heart, where she's getting her new one, and so on. They all mentioned her especially in their prayers tonight, and I look forward to sharing even more good news in the morning!

Steve and I celebrate our ten year anniversary tomorrow... we will be celebrating Lindsay's new heart as well!

Keep us updated as often as you can... we're on pins and needles here! I'll be checking back throughout the night...

Michelle

SPEECHLESS...yes, ME!!! After reading all these beautiful posts and thinking about all the love and prayers surrounding you, I just feel overwhelmed by the precious FAMILY that all of us who love Lindsay and you have created. It's a family of heart moms, of old and dear friends, of perfect strangers across the country, of new friends...all knit together by our sweet Lindsay. I guess I just needed to voice how special I think that is. And when we post on the babies' blogs, we all feel like we know all of you and we KNOW we love all of you.

So on this most blessed of nights: thank-you for all the love and prayers and the richness these relationships have added to all our lives.

And Steph...if I had read "party at my house" earlier, I'd have shown up on your doorstep! It's no fun reading these alone!

And Suzie...keep posting...there's not a lot of sleeping going on in Lindsay's Kingdom!

Praying, praying, praying.

To the donor family: you may never know what your sacrifice has meant to this family...but please know you are now part of our family...God Bless You.

Love, Elaine

Did you get your hug from me, to you, from Colleen?! When Colleen called me this evening to tell me the news, I was overcome with thinking about the miracles taking place at that hospital! My tears have been frequent the past 2 weeks but I must say the past 2days, they have been different tears. I am praying non-stop for your precious little girl. I have requested more prayers on Ethans carepage and have alerted all of our prayers warriors. I DO KNOW Lindsay has a special angel watching over her!
God Bless Lindsay and her new & perfect heart!
